Follow the Road and Who Knows Where is Goes

My favourite quotes in life usually involve streets, crossroads, some sort of long straight or winding road.

My favourite songs often involve roads literally or figuratively to, The Highwayman by Loreena McKennit (also a poem), Carry on my Wayward Son by Kansas, Carry on by .fun, or I would walk 500 miles by The Proclaimers.
Not a surprise I caught the travel bug really, or that I adore tumbling head over toes into books about other worlds. Roads stretch on and you rarely can see the end. All you can do is imagine it. Even if you are returning home after an absence of a few hours, or years, what might have changed. Will there be mail tumbling out of the slot, a cat darting across your lawn, rain falling around you, giving a mystical air of wizard grey to the atmosphere?
I dare you to embrace your roads today, imagine, while you are on them, who travels around you, while you are in traffic, pedaling a bike or taking one step at a time. I dare you to embrace the unknown and the known of the end of the road, if there is an end in sight at all. Embrace the construction slowing your forward motion or drilling into your ear. Embrace being late, embrace being early, embrace not knowing when you may show up at all.
Embrace taking these thoughts as literally or figuratively as you would like.
When you take that step out of your door, just keep an eye on your feet, watch those cracks, those daring dandelion weeds creeping through and let them carry you on.

Sidewalks Pave The Way in Life
Don’t step on the cracks.
Said the children to one another.
Then they grew.
Wore suits and skirts.
Took the cracks and made boxes.
They live as shades
against black to white.
Told, believe only what they see.
Though true belief lives in what they be.
Not what they follow.
Not what they walk.
Or how they walk.
Even if they step on the cracks.
Happy travels my friends!
Moony.
